Trail Conditions: There is plenty of snow with wind blown powder over and ice and crusty base. Conditions are fast so to be safe, you might have to take off your skis if you choose to go downhill on snow shoe trails.
Ski Selection: There have been days of very cold wind blown snow, although this weekend should see a little warmer temps. There is a good classic track almost everywhere; the skate lanes are in great condition and most of the snow shoe trails are well packed out.
Because it has been so cold waxless and fish scale skis will be very slow gliding; skate skis are recommended.
