The ski-o events scheduled for Lapland Lake, Jan 6-11, and Mt. van Hoevenberg to Jan. 10, have both been postponed. Conditions are marginal and there is not enough skiing terrain suitable for setting courses at either venue. Keep checking back for updates – as soon as there is more snow we’ll get courses set somewhere!
There is not enough snow at Mt. van Hoevenberg right now to open trails or set a ski-o course but if conditions improve over the Christmas period we’ll post the news here!

There will be some changes to our ski-o events this season. Many of these, related to the corona virus situation, are only temporary (hopefully). Conditions could not have been better for Saturday’s NYSSRA Ski-O Championship event at Mt. van Hoevenberg with mild temperatures, fast tracks and great snow cover throughout. The ski-o race scheduled for this Saturday, Feb. 8 at Kingdom Valley near Chester, VT has been cancelled due to poor conditions. If conditions improve it may be rescheduled for a later date.
Ski-o enthusiasts participated in two great events as part of the Empire State Winter Games over the past weekend.
